Eric Clapton: Philadelphia 2025

On Saturday night, September 13, Eric Clapton’s US Tour stopped at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. Eric first performed in the city back in April 1968 when Cream played a three-night stand at the Electric Factory. He returned to that venue two more times: in February 1970 with Delaney & Bonnie & Friends and in October 1970 for two nights with Derek and the Dominos. At the old Spectrum alone, he logged 16 performances, spanning his years with Cream, Blind Faith, and as a solo artist. He also took the stage at John F. Kennedy Stadium on July 13, 1985, as part of Live Aid. Tonight’s concert marked his 21st solo performance — and 30th overall appearance — in Philadelphia.

At the top of the acoustic set, Eric reminisced about playing the Spectrum with Cream, recalling how they performed “Sunshine of Your Love” there and noting it was one of the band’s best nights on stage.

His 2025 live version of the song was one of the night’s standout numbers, along with “Old Love,” and “Crossroads.”

The sold-out crowd was taken on a journey through blues, ballads, and hits, all rendered with Eric’s unmatched artistry as a live performer. Here’s what he played at the Xfinity Mobile Arena:
