Eric Clapton: Cincinnati 2026

Eric Clapton’s limited six-show US tour arrived at Cincinnati’s Heritage Bank Center on September 8, marking his first appearance in the city in 16 years. It was Eric’s sixth concert at the venue — known by several names since opening as Riverfront Coliseum in 1975 — and his 12th in Cincinnati overall.
Eric’s Cincinnati history stretches back even further, to November 26, 1970, when Derek and the Dominos performed in the city on Thanksgiving night. That concert has gone down in Clapton lore, with B.B. King joining the band on stage for one of his signature numbers, “Every Day I Have the Blues.”
This evening’s songs spanned Eric’s career and his enduring love of the blues, including the 461 Ocean Boulevard track “Give Me Strength,” revived at the tour opener in Detroit after more than 50 years and performed again tonight:

The tour now moves on to Chicago’s United Center on Friday night before stops in Milwaukee, St. Paul and Kansas City. Eric will close out his 2026 live schedule with two nights of the Crossroads Guitar Festival at the Moody Center in Austin on September 26 and 27.
