Eric Clapton: Birmingham 2024 Set List

Eric Clapton’s 2024 World Tour visited the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England on May 13th, eleven years to the day that he last performed in the city.

Eric dedicated “River of Tears” (from his 1998 album, Pilgrim) in honor of David Sanborn, who passed away on Sunday. Eric first worked with the legendary saxophonist in 1983 when they both played on sessions for Roger Water’s The Pros and Cons of Hitch-Hiking. With Michael Kamen, they went on to score all of the soundtracks for the  Lethal Weapon film franchise. They performed together many times, including the 1997 Legends Jazz Tour and the 1999 Crossroads Concert at Madison Square Garden. David also played on Eric’s 1990 album, Journeyman.
