Fully illustrated auction catalogs available at 20% off when pre-ordered before 1 February. Beginning Sunday 23 January, Bonham’s Knightsbridge will host the London viewing of Eric Clapton’s guitars and amplifiers. It is free to attend. The auction, which takes place in New York on 9 March, will raise funds to support the Crossroads Foundation. It will feature over 70 guitars and 70 amps that have helped create EC’s legendary sound. Bonham’s Knightsbridge is in Montpelier Street SW7 1HH. The 2011 Crossroads Guitar Auction items can be viewed during the following dates and times:
Sunday 23 January – 11AM to 3PM
Monday 24 January – 9AM to 4:30PM
Tuesday 25 January – 9AM to 4:30PM
Wednesday 26 January – 9AM to 4:30PM
The items will then go on display 18-20 February in Los Angeles, followed by New York in the days leading up to the auction. For both US viewings, an auction catalog will be required for entry (each catalog admits two persons). Before 1 February, the fully illustrated catalogs can be pre-ordered from Bonham’s at a 20% discount on the cover price. Price, including postage and packing, for US domestic address is $30.00 and international is $50.00.
