Guitarist and vocalist Andy Fairweather Low is back out on the road with his band, The Low Riders. Andy is a very familiar face to Clapton fans worldwide as he has been an integral part of Eric’s touring and recording bands since 1992. You can catch Andy Fairweather Low and The Low Riders everywhere from The Riga in Southend to Upstairs, Downstairs in Bahrain. There’s even a gig at the Half Moon, Putney in November – the site of more than one Where’s Eric! Readers Party. Andy’s tour dates run through 5 December 2009.
Holding down the bass line in The Low Riders is another Clapton-band alum, Dave Bronze. Other band members are Paul Beavis (drums) and Nick Pentelow (saxophone).
Andy first came to prominence as the lead vocalist / guitarist for Amen Corner in the sixties. He had a string of solo hits in the following decade. Over his career, he’s also toured and recorded with Roger Waters, Pete Townshend, and Bill Wyman. His most recent solo album is Sweet Soulful Music.
