Welcome To The All-New WHERESERIC.COM
21 Aug 09
Where’s Eric! The Eric Clapton Fan Club Magazine launched its newly re-designed companion website on 21 August 2009. The all-new whereseric.com incorporates bold new graphics, more photos and completely new navigational tools. The new site was designed by Kym Ramadge Design (KRD) of Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to now hosting Where’s Eric’s online news archives going back to 2001, whereseric.com offers a fully updated and expanded Eric Clapton FAQ, which is an online encyclopedia all about Eric Clapton. Numerous photos from our web archive have been restored to the news articles, and many new ones have been added. Photographs can now be found throughout the Eric Clapton FAQ (particularly in the "Guitars, Amps and Related Equipment" section) and more will be added. Clicking on a photograph within a news article or FAQ entry will automatically open a larger version in a "lightbox". And, if an entry has more than one image, you can toggle between them in lightbox mode (just let your mouse hover over the image).
Immediate access to the website’s major topic areas are located right at the top of the homepage to make browsing and searching information about Eric Clapton easy and fun. Enhancements to whereseric.com include:
– Improved Navigation: web pages work in intuitive and consistent ways, making it easy for visitors to find what they are looking for.
– Improved Look and Feel: enhanced graphics and new page layouts provide EC Fans with an improved user experience.
– Improved Search Engine: find what you want, quickly and easily.
In the coming weeks and months, the new web platform will allow Where’s Eric! to host an improved and expanded tour archive including fan reviews submitted to Where’s Eric! since 2001 and not available on the previous site. The archive will eventually encompass Clapton’s entire career. A brand new photo gallery, an expanded discography, a “This Day in E.C. History” feature, and more are all in the planning stages.
Whereseric.com will continue to offer a free e-newsletter to fans that will deliver periodic Eric Clapton new summaries and concert announcements. Fans can also register for the Where’s Eric! RSS News Feed which will automatically download all news articles published on the site to a favorite news reader. Either way, fans will never miss important Eric Clapton news again via these free services from Where’s Eric!.
For those of you who registered for the RSS feeds on our "old" site, you will need to re-subscribe to them at this time. For more information about the feeds and to register, click HERE.
Fans should delete both ericclaptonportal.com and ericclaptonphotos.com from their list of favorites as these domains are no longer in use by Where’s Eric!. The only address to use for accurate up-to-date Eric Clapton News is whereseric.com. Make sure it’s included in YOUR favorites list today!
