Some sources list this gig as taking place at the Marquay Club in Torquay, Devon.
“Marquay Club” was a promotional name used for rock and R&B concerts staged at Torquay Town Hall. It was not a separate club or physical venue, but an identity applied to Town Hall gigs in the early 1970s. One of the earliest documented uses of the name appears on a promotional handbill for this Derek & The Dominos concert.
Torquay Town Hall is a Grade II–listed building at Castle Circus in Torquay, Devon, which opened in 1913. During the 1960s and 1970s, it became a regular stop on the national live music circuit. The grand hall, located on the second floor, accommodates 1,200 seated attendees, with space for a further 300 in the gallery.
Eric played at the venue with The Yardbirds, Cream, Derek and the Dominos, and as a solo artist between 1964 and 1976.
