The Baltimore Civic Center opened in 1962 and was built on the site of the Old Congress Hall where the Continental Congress met in 1776. When the Inner Harbor area was redeveloped, it was renamed the Baltimore Arena in 1986. From 2003-2013, it was named the 1st Mariner Arena and reverted to Baltimore Arena until September 2014 when it became known as Royal Farms Arena until 2022. Following renovations, it reopened in February 2023 as CFG Arena.
