Eric Clapton joined Gary Brooker and Friends as guest guitarist at the Ollie G Big Top Ball, which was a benefit for The Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases, which is a support group for children and adults in the UK who suffer from mucopolysaccharide and related lysosomal storage diseases. The MPS Society event was held in a large marquee and featured cabaret performances from the Globe Girls, circus-style trapeze acts and fire eating, a song from Jo Wilson, herself an MPS sufferer and an auction. Eric sat in for about an hour but details of the set are unknown.
The Ball raised £196,464.
