Eric Clapton kicked off the second leg of his summer tour in Cork, Ireland on 20 June 2008. Playing "Live At The Marquee", the two hour show took place in a venue that looked a bit like a circus big-top but with a rock and roll vibe and great sound.
Eric tinkered with his band line-up a bit. On stage were Doyle Bramhall II (guitars / backing vocals), Willie Weeks (bass), Abe Laboriel Jr (drums), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Michelle John (backing vocals).
Abe Laboriel Jr is well known to music fans as the drummer in Paul McCartney’s band in recent years.
Comedian Peter Kay introduced Eric to the crowd. Complete set list and further details from the show are pending…they’ll be posted in the Tour Section of whereseric.com when available.
