Watch B.B. King & Eric Clapton discuss the making of their 2000 collaborative album, “Riding With The King.” The duo reflects on their musical chemistry and shared love for the blues, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Two guitar legends — B.B. King and Eric Clapton — first performed together in an impromptu jam session in New York City in 1967. More than 30 years later, in 1999, the two longtime friends joined forces to record a collection of new studio performances of blues classics and contemporary songs. The resulting album, Riding With The King, was released in June 2000, charted internationally, sold more than two million copies worldwide, and earned a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album in 2001.

Now, in honor of what would have been B.B.’s 100th birthday, the remastered expanded edition is available on 180g gold vinyl and CD was released on July 31, 2026.
