Eric Clapton’s Six-City US Tour Begins In September

Following a European Tour that included a record-breaking night in Budapest, where he performed for the largest concert audience in the history of the MVM Dome, Eric Clapton will return to the US this September for a short run of six solo concerts. The tour will visit Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Kansas City—cities Eric has not played in several years. These solo shows precede his Crossroads Guitar Festival in Austin later in the month. No additional US solo dates are planned.

Joining Eric will be longtime band members Nathan East (bass/vocals), Doyle Bramhall II (guitar), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Tim Carmon (Hammond organ/keyboards), Sonny Emory (drums), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Katie Kissoon (backing vocals). Special guest Jimmie Vaughan will open all six dates.

Audiences can expect both electric and acoustic performances featuring songs from Eric’s extensive catalog, along with the blues that have long remained central to his live shows.
