In a few weeks, Eric Clapton will be hitting the road with his band to visit Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Those dates happen 12 February to 11 March 2009. Fans will recognize many famliar faces on stage with him.
Eric Clapton’s band for Japan, New Zealand and Australia will be Chris Stainton (keyboards), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums), Willie Weeks (bass), Doyle Bramhall II (guitars / backing vocals), Sharon White (backing vocals) and Michelle John (backing vocals).
In May 2009, Eric has an 11 night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall with a few warm-up dates preceding it in Dublin, Liverpool and Manchester. The band lineup will change a bit for these concerts with two familiar faces re-joining Eric’s band on stage: Andy Fairweather Low (guitar) and Steve Gadd (drums). Andy was part of EC’s touring band from 1992 through 2003. Steve anchored the rhythm section in 1994 / 1995 and again from 1998 to 2004.
