Eric Clapton Opens 2025 UK / Europe Tour in Nottingham

Fresh off a sold-out eight-night residency in Tokyo, Eric Clapton launched the UK and European leg of his 2025 tour on May 18th at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham. It was his first performance in the city since 2008, making the concert a long-awaited return.

The opening night set list was a well-balanced blend of fan favorites and blues classics:

Eric is joined on all dates this year by his longtime touring band: Nathan East (bass/vocals), Doyle Bramhall II (guitar/vocals), Sonny Emory (drums), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Tim Carmon (Hammond organ/keyboards), and backing vocalists Sharon White and Katie Kissoon.

Andy Fairweather Low & The Low Riders opened the show and will appear as special guests on all UK and European dates.

Next up: Three sold-out nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
