Pino Daniele and Eric Clapton: Concert For Open Onlus

[UPDATED] On 24 June, musicians Pino Daniele and Eric Clapton will team up in a benefit concert to aid children’s causes at Stadio di Cava De’ Tirreni in Italy. Proceeds will help fund both a CT Scanner for the Pediatric Oncology Hospital Pausilipon in Naples and the work of the charitable foundation, Open Onlus, which is committed to fighting childhood tumors and cancers. Advance tickets for this event go on sale 25 March at 11AM (Italy) from www.listicket.it and anni60produzioni.com. There is a four ticket limit. Tickets are 30.00 € – 80.00 € and may be subject to booking fees.

Pino Daniele was one of the guest musicians who performed at Eric Clapton’s third Crossroads Guitar Festival last year. The June concert, which begins at 8PM, will be a terrific evening as both men revere the blues, especially the music of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and B.B. King. Also on stage will be Pino’s regular band, featuring Rachel Z. (keyboards / piano), Gianluca Podio (keyboards), Omar Hakim (drums), and Solomon Dorsey (bass).

The concert is being presented by Blue Drag and the F&P Group.
