[Updated 16 February] Items in the Eric Clapton 2011 Crossroads Guitar Auction go on view at the Bonhams & Butterfields salesroom in Los Angeles starting Friday 18 February at 12 Noon. The auction, which takes place in New York City on 9 March, will raise funds to support the Crossroads Foundation. The sale will feature over 150 guitars and amplifiers from Eric Clapton’s personal collection as well as several guitars donated by musician friends. The items can be viewed at Bonhams & Butterfields, 7601 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles during the following dates and times:
Friday 18 February – 12 Noon to 5PM
Saturday 19 February – 12 Noon to 5PM
Sunday 20 February – 12 Noon to 5PM
A viewing will happen in New York in the days prior to the sale. The Los Angeles viewing is free to attend. For the New York viewing, an auction catalog will be required for entry. Catalogs can be ordered from Bonham’s by calling 1 212 644 9001 or 1 415 861 7500 or via email from catalogs.us@bonhams.com. Catalogs are US $35 plus shipping costs. As auction catalogs are produced in limited print runs, fans who wish to have one for their EC collection are advised to order early.
