Awesome in Arnhem: Clapton and Winwood Perform Powerhouse Set on 29 May

With a gig at the Gelredome in Arnhem on 29 May, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood reached the mid-point of their 16-date European Tour. The set list has settled in after some changes earlier in the week and was identical to that performed in Dusseldorf and Basel. One fan checking in via blackberry right after the show called it "A dream come true, an unforgettable experience." An American fan on holiday wrote from their iPhone "I time travelled back to 1969! Words can’t describe how powerful these musicians still are on stage. Voodoo Chile was unreal." Still another fan reported via text "A tremendous show in Arnhem; same set list as last night. Highlights for me were an awesome Voodoo Chile plus Glad / Well Alright, Tuff Luck, Crossroads, Georgia, Driftin’ and Gimme Some Lovin’. Chris Stainton played a brilliant solo during Cocaine."
The band has a day off before performing at the Malmo Arena in Sweden on Monday, 31 May.
The remaining dates on the 2010 Clapton / Winwood European Tour are:

3 June – Colorline Arena, Hamburg
5 June – Konigsplatz, Munich – this is an "open air" concert
7 June – Stadthalle, Vienna
9 June – Belgrade Arena, Belgrade
11 June – Rugby Park, Bucharest
13 June – Turkcell Kurucesme Arena, Istanbul
