Affectionately known as "The Beano Album" (as EC is pictured reading a copy of The Beano comic on the cover), the sound of Eric Clapton’s Les Paul through an overdriven Marshall on its 12 tracks provided inspiration to a whole generation of guitarists.  Released originally in 1966, it helped cement Clapton’s reputation as a guitarist and brought him to international prominence. It’s ranked 195 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The Audio Fidelity mono re-issue on 24K+ Gold CD became available on 24 November 2009.

Audio Fidelity is based in Camarillo, California. The label works from the original master mix tapes using their proprietary analog to digital converter. Then, without further sonic manipulation, it is etched "real time" onto the disc’s glass surface by laser at the manufacturing plant. The end result is a compact disc with the warm sound of the original analog master tape. Their website is audiofidelity.net.
