Bands – How many has Eric Clapton been a member of?

Eric Clapton embarked on his musical career in 1963. Since that time, he has worked in 9 different bands. In order, they are:

The Roosters
Casey Jones and The Engineers
The Yardbirds
John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
Cream
Delaney & Bonnie & Friends
Blind Faith
Derek & The Dominos
Legends

Eric has also joined several others for one-off live or studio work, like The Powerhouse, Winston Legthigh & The Dirty Mac and TDF.

Since 1974, he has toured and recorded with various musicians in a lineup referred to as “Eric Clapton and Hhis Band”. This “band” has undergone numerous changes in personnel over the ensuing decades.
