Eric Clapton Honors JJ Cale

Updated with set list and additional details! On 6 August in Santa Monica, California, Eric Clapton sat in at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in honor of his longtime friend and musical colleague, JJ Cale. Cale passed away on 26 July. EC was the first on stage to join Don White (guitar / vocals), Marty Rifkin (bass / vocals) and Jim Keltner (drums). Where’s Eric! has learned that EC’s songs were “After Midnight” and “Cocaine“. News of the gig was first published by McCabe’s on their Facebook page, along with a photo from the night.
